You are cordially invited to ride with us on the Third Annual “Bankers’ on Bikes.” This year we will be riding to the Apostle Islands area of Northern Wisconsin .  The ride will begin in Jefferson City on Saturday, August 2, 2008. We will “pick up” riders in Columbia and Macon, Missouri, as well as many other stops in Iowa . Our first night’s stop is in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin . The second night (August 5, 2008) we will arrive and be staying in Cable, Wisconsin at the Telemark Resort (www.telemarkresort.com). 
 

A group event is scheduled for the evening of Sunday, August 3, 2008 (arrival reception and dinner), as well as the evening of Wednesday, August 6, 2008, prior to our departure.  Other than those events you are on your own, or in groups, to discover all Northern Wisconsin has to offer!  Some of our plans for this event are incomplete as of yet.  We are working on arranging a tour of the new Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee on the way back home.  
 

As noted above, the trip officially ends Thursday, August 7, 2008. Some of you will want to head back “at a high rate of speed,” while others might want a more leisurely pace back, or join us in Milwaukee as mentioned above.  
 

We will again supply a chase vehicle in the unlikely event of a mechanical problem or illness. The chase vehicle will be equipped with spare gas, water, etc. 
 

If interested in riding with us this year, I encourage you to complete the registration sheet at your earliest convenience. 
 

This year, we will be handling the financial part of the trip somewhat differently. To facilitate checking in and out of hotels, to make it easier on you the rider, and the hotel personnel, we are including the price of the hotel room upfront. In other words, you pay us and we pay the hotel. The total cost for participation is $500 per room. If sharing with another rider, the cost is only $250 per person. This great price includes five nights lodging, one in Prairie du Chien, and four at the resort in Cable, Wisconsin . As mentioned above, two group events will also be covered in the price, leaving you with a few meals, and gasoline. The side trip to Milwaukee will not be covered. If you are interested in additional information on the Milwaukee visit, please let us know on the enclosed registration form.
